Introduction and Visioning

Individuals take the first step in developing a shared vision with the organization by first developing their own personal vision. This will be accomplished through developing an understanding of:

  • Life Purpose
  • Personal Effectiveness Discussion and Application
  • Personal Visioning Process

Organizational Alignment

Individuals align personal vision to organizational vision, time alignment, and quality principles to their personal system. This is accomplished through:

  • Position Visioning Process
  • Shared Values Discussion
  • Alignment of Position Vision to Organizational Vision
  • Understanding time management and “waste”
  • Identifying internal and external support
  • Diffuse and manage stress personally and organizationally

This module may be presented over two, three, or four workshops depending on time allocation.

Planning and Goal Setting

Building on time alignment, individuals learn tools to help them successfully meet goals and objectives. This will be accomplished by:

  • Identify goals and objectives to better align with organizational goals and objectives
  • Learn a framework to successfully meet goals (i.e. desired rules, resources, constraints, accountability)
  • Apply performance management to self leadership

Working Effectively with Others: Conflict Resolution, and Communication

Individuals will:

  • Through a self assessment, individuals will learn their preferred style of communication and conflict resolution patterns.
  • Understand barriers to effectively working with others and learn new styles of communication
  • Identify functional versus dysfunctional conflict
  • Identify the characteristics of effective work teams
  • Application exercises will be integrated throughout each session

Communication

Highly experiential, this module provides methods for increasing communication effectiveness. Role play, case study, and company specific situations help individuals focus on practicing skills to lead upwards, sideways, and below. Excellent framework for individuals to look at how they influence others regarding of role within organization; information channels, gaps, and information gathering will be a focus.

Situational Leadership

Understanding competency levels based on confidence, competence, and commitment. Understand how to negotiate and contract for the leadership you need to move toward high performance and personal/organizational success. How to better lead, coach, and mentor others.

Continuous Improvement Initiative Launched

Individuals form small groups around a continuous improvement topic of their choice based on their interest and the needs expressed. Brainstorming, decision making and problem solving skills and techniques will support workshop objectives. Continuous improvement projects are the nucleus of each workshop from this point on and learning objectives will support and strengthen the skills of each team member and the team as a whole. Initiative presentation takes place in the last learning session.


All workshops are customized to the needs of the individual/organization.
