Continuous Improvement Initiative Launched Individuals will form small groups around a continuous improvement topic of their choice based on their interest and the needs expressed. Brainstorming, decision making and problem solving skills and techniques will support workshop objectives. Continuous improvement project will be the nucleus of each workshop from this point on and learning objectives will support and strengthen the skills of each team member and the team as a whole. Initiative presentation takes place in module twelve. Change Management The principles of change management will be presented and small groups will apply these principles to their project. Group develops clarity of where they are going, who needs to “buy” in, resources they will need. Drivers for change and resistances are identified. They also identify processes they need to measure. Initial milestones are identified. Team Development and Organizational Alignment Individuals learn together and through the stages of team development, also examining how they move to high performance and alignment to the organization. They learn tools and instruments for watching their group process as well as the content of their group work. Motivation, Influence, and Partnership Individuals review basic human needs and discuss their own personal\ motivation. Throughout, the individuals have been on a journey from extrinsic and external motivation (motivated by money, benefits) to intrinsic/internal motivation (motivated by a sense of purpose—higher order needs). The emphasis here is that we must pay attention to both and provide an environment for internal motivation to occur. The continuous improvement project gives individuals a core issue in which to apply motivational principles, practice the power of influence, and develop partnership between their group members. Preparation and Coaching for Presentation The fundamentals of an effective presentation and setting up an effective meeting and/or presentation setting will be key focus.
Transitioning Wrap up, discussion, and planning of how individuals go forward. Support in their personal system and organizational system to continue their progress and to influence others as they go forward. All workshops are customized to the needs of the individual/organization. |
